Trip To Nandi Hills

I think i must start with "This place is awesome!!!"
Everyone nearby should at least visit this place once.

I had visited this place when i used to study in Bangalore.

First i will give some information on Nandi Hills. It ia an ancient fortress of southern India built on a hill, in the Chikkaballapur district of Karnataka state.
Some 60 Kms from bangalore and around 40 Kms from the BIAL .It is also the origin of the Arkavathy river. You can in fact see the airstrip from the top.

This place was very famous among people who loved to see the sunrise. But of late it is also catching the eyes of people who want to run away from pollution and

heat of the city.

The entry time to the top of the hill is restricted by the government. Its allowed only from 6 A.M to 6 P.M.


For people who love to see the sunrise: They either go early morning or stay there the night before till the sunrise.
For staying there, there are many Cottages and Rooms available at different costs.
I would suggest that if you are planning to stay overnight, then its better to book rooms beforehand as the prices increase latter on when not much rooms are available.


For other People: Its very important to book rooms in advance. Not much rooms are available.











Personally speaking when i went there, i had to spend the night in a small room with 10 people.
So please dont make such mistakes.


For reaching this place, you can either use public transport or use your own vehicle.
Parking space is available there, so its not a problem.

Its always wise to take woolen clothes with you when you go there, because irrespective of the month it will be cold in the morning.

The view from there early in the morning is mesmerizing.
